Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Read that again, very slowly... very carefully.
Now, I ascribe to "slippery slope" school of thought. The present government will never tear up the constitution outright. It will quietly nibble away at the edges until there is nothing left but shredded paper.
And of all places, it will begin in New York.
